What Isopropyl alcohol is used for: It is used as external antiseptic for the prevention of topical infections associated with burns or minor cuts/scrapes It is also used as an external stimulant by rubbing and massaging hand sanitizer Preparation of skin prior to injection or surgery Do not use isopropyl alcohol if: Do not use isopropyl alcohol on open wounds or on sunburned, windburned, dry, chapped, or irritated skin. Warnings & Precautions: If this product gets in your eyes, nose, mouth, rectum, or vagina, rinse with water. Isopropyl alcohol is flammable. Do not use near high heat or open flame. Do not smoke until the medicine has completely dried on your skin. Isopropyl alcohol is not a substitute for other types of alcohol. Do not drink.
